With most travelers visiting the mainstream destinations in the Philippines like Palawan, Boracay and Cebu, the Bicol region is still pretty unknown but absolutely worth a visit. Beautiful beaches, volcanoes, lively cities and a famous spot for whale shark diving are only a few examples of things that can be done here.

Where is Bicol located?

Bicol is a region in the southern part of Luzon (the largest island of the Philippine archipelago) and consists of the provinces Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon.



How to get to Bicol?


By aircraft:

There are many ways to get to Bicol. As we usually start our trips from the city of Naga in Camarines Sur, we take an aircraft from Manila to Naga Airport (IATA Code WNP) mostly with the airline Cebu Pacific.

If you tend to start your journey in the southern parts of Bicol, you can also take a flight to Legazpi Airport (IATA Code LGP), which also offers direct connections to Cebu Airport. For enquiries about price and flight schedules, we usually use Skyscanner.


Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines are operating to both airports.


  • Direct flights to Naga are available from Clark International Airport and Manila NAIA Airport.
  • Direct flights to Legazpi are available from Manila NAIA airport and Cebu Airport.


By bus:

Several bus companies operate daily from Manila to the southern regions of Bicol.
